Cheyenne's new police chief, Mark Francisco, will be sworn in Monday morning, the city said Wednesday.

The 9 a.m. swearing-in ceremony will be livestreamed on the Cheyenne Police Department's Facebook page.

Francisco comes to Cheyenne after 30 years of service with the Kansas City Police Department, where he most recently served as deputy chief of the investigation bureau.

Francisco earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Central Missouri State University in 1987 and served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1987 to 1997.

He holds additional training from the Senior Management Institute for Police and the Police Executive Leadership Institute.
