Cheyenne School Goes Into Brief Lockdown Over Disruptive Student
Laramie County School District#1
Triumph High School in Cheyenne went into a roughly 10-minute lockdown this morning due to what district officials say was a disruptive student in a hallway.
Officials say the situation was relatively minor.
Laramie County School District #1 spokeswoman Mary Quast says the lockdown is standard procedure in such situations. She says Triumph held a student and teacher "town hall meeting" following the incident to answer any questions and address any possible concerns.
The lockdown happened around 8:40 a.m. and ended well before 9 a.m., according to Quast.
