If you're planning for retirement, you're in the right place according to a new study that ranked Cheyenne the tenth best city in America for retirees.

Cheyenne scored high marks for affordability, ranking second nationwide. Health care services for seniors are also excellent, ranking 33rd out of 182 cities in the study. Cheyenne's overall quality of life for retirees ranked 50th. The Capital City finished above the national average in 45 of the 46 measurable metrics in the study, ranking near the bottom for "mild weather".

Florida claimed three of the top five spots in the study. Orlando finished first, followed by Tampa, Scottsdale, Ariz., Charleston, S.C., and Miami. Denver and Casper both ranked in the top 20, in 6th and 17th place respectively. Around the region, Rapid City, S.D., Billings, Mont., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Colorado Springs also ranked among the top 50 places to retire.

Stockton, Calif. finished last in the study, with Bridgeport, Conn., Warwick, R.I., San Bernadino, Calif., and Bakersfield, Calif. rounding out the five worst cities for retirees.
