Cheyenne NWS: ”Confidence Growing” In Severe Storms This Week
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says "Confidence is growing" in the possibility of severe storms later this week in southeast Wyoming.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Confidence is increasing that unsettled weather is going to return to southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle by mid week. A cold front is expected to move into the area from the northeast Wednesday. Easterly and southeasterly low level winds will bring increasing moisture into the area from the southeast. By far, the day with the highest chances for showers and storms will be Thursday, when we could see widespread storms, heavy rainfall and severe storm chances. Afternoon and evening severe storms could continue Friday into Saturday, before we begin to dry out once again. Stay tuned as we get closer to mid week for more details.
