Cheyenne Mom Receives Best Mother’s Day Gift-A Car [VIDEO]
For the fourth year in a row Big O' Tires in Cheyenne has given away a car to a lucky mom just in time as summer kicks off, and it moves this mom to tears.
The owners, Jack and Jamie Floyd have noticed, over the years, a large number of women patrons to Big O' Tires. They wanted to help hard-working moms take a step to regaining more control in their lives.
Each year, single mom's who do not have a vehicle have their names nominated by friends and loved ones. People who know the applicant are asked to send in letters explaining why their friend deserves to be chosen. This time Ashley, who has been facing several of life's obstacles, got a chance to drive away.
Other area businesses chip in to make sure the car is in prime condition. If anything does go wrong after the vehicle is driven away, the recipient can come back up to a year to have it fixed for free.
Jaime Floyd, who expresses a keen interest in empowering women, and is a member ladies boxing club in her spare time. Pink Gloves Boxing was one of the sponsors who donated a basket full of items for the mom, including a membership to Pink Gloves for Ashley.
Just another one of the many locally owned Cheyenne businesses pitching in to help those who need a hand.
