Cheyenne Man Sentenced to 37 Months in Prison for Stealing Guns
A 20-year-old Cheyenne man who pleaded guilty to stealing firearms from a federal firearm licensee was sentenced Thursday in federal court.
U.S. District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal sentenced Nicholas Ross Halcott to 37 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
According to court documents, Halcott stole three Smith & Wesson pistols from Frontier Arms, a gun store in Cheyenne, on or about Oct. 5, 2018.
The Cheyenne Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.
