Cheyenne Man Gets Prison for Selling Meth

A Cheyenne man who sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant last year is headed to prison.

Forty-nine-year-old Troy Kysar was sentenced Friday in Laramie County District Court to two-and-a-half to five years in prison.

According to court documents, a Cheyenne Police Department detective had a confidential informant buy meth from Kysar on two separate occasions, after learning in January of last year that Kysar was a known supplier.

Kysar was charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine in March and arrested on a warrant in June.

He was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, after police found a glass pipe, numerous small plastic baggies, 10 grams of meth and a digital scale on him in October.

As part of a plea deal in his case, one of the delivery charges and the possession charge were dropped.

Kysar was ordered to pay $400 in restitution to cover the controlled drug purchases conducted by police. He was also recommended for the Intensive Treatment Unit in prison.
