Cheyenne Hoteliers Are Saying That A WYDOT Project Was Successful

Amy Richards, TSM[/caption]Many times there is a lot of criticism against our local government, whether city or county. Hoteliers in Cheyenne are saying that the cities last big move has been successful.  Early reviews have made their way to the ears of the public concerning the new Southwest Drive Train Quiet Zone. Their comments have been very positive as they receive feedback from those who stay in our local hotels along W Lincolnway near the train tracks.

Earlier last year, in 2014, the City of Cheyenne and WYDOT partnered together to try and put an end to much complaining of the noise levels from those staying overnight in our local hotels.

Since the 'quiet zone' has become operational, customer complaints have been at an all-time low. It's good to know that this was accomplished to the satisfaction of the city, the hoteliers without compromising driver safety. Good job!
