Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has implemented its Severe Winter Weather Plan.

"This essentially means that all staff who are currently at work must have permission from their leader before leaving, to ensure adequate staffing to care for patients," said spokeswoman Kathy Baker.

Baker says staff on campus will be provided with meals and sleeping arrangements.

The hospital also wants to emphasize that community members having a medical emergency should call 911 and should not try to drive to the hospital due to the poor road conditions.
