UPDATE: Gas Leak Fixed, No Evacuations Needed

UPDATE: Black Hills Energy spokeswoman Laurie Farkas issued a statement on Tuesday night saying the gas line leak had been resolved. She said no evacuations were needed and no one's service was interrupted.

A spokeswoman for Black Hills Energy says crews are working to fix a gas leak in a gas line the Vandehei Avenue bridge area.

Laurie Farkas says the leak, which is believed to have been caused by a third party gas line strike, was reported in the area of Jessica drive and Brittany Drive. The leak was reported earlier this afternoon.

Farkas says details are still somewhat murky and she was not sure if anyone had been evacuated due to the leak.
