The Cheyenne Firefighters of IAFF Local 279 will be playing a team from F.E. Warren Air Force Base in a charity hockey game this weekend.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center when the U.S. Olympic and Colorado Avalanche adaptive teams play an exhibition game to begin the event. Before the firefighters and Air Force members take the ice, spectators can watch the ''Learn to Play" kids during an intermission.

Then the IAFF and F.E. Warren teams will hit the ice at 5 p.m. The charity game will benefit local youth hockey through the ''Learn to Play" program, which is offered by the Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department.

Admission to the event will be $10 for adults and $5 for children.
