
Cheyenne Family YMCA Pool To Reopen Thanks To Donation
The Cheyenne Family YMCA will be able to reopen it's swimming pool/aquatics center due to a donation from the Maury&Bonnie Brown Foundation.
That's according to a news relase from CEO of the YMCA of Northern Colorado Chris Coker.
Brown Foundation Also Donating For After School And Child Care
Coker says the family and the foundation are doing more than just helping with the. aquatics center: Along with this donation, the Brown family and the foundation are supporting the expansion of YMCA childcare and after school programs. The family and the foundation have decided to team up with the YMCA on additional renovation projects related to childcare and after school programs. Over the next year, there will be noticeable changes to the Y's facilities and programs. A timeline for the childcare center expansion will be announced soon.''
The release says swim lessons wil start again in early November. The Cheyenne Y is also working on hiring swimming instructors and lifeguards. Applicant can apply for those jobs here.
The Cheyenne Y closed its pool due to a lack of money for pay for needed repairs in August.
