There will be some changes in trash pickup and other sanitation services in Cheyenne in observance of Veterans Day this weekend.

While Veterans Day actually falls on Friday, November 11, trash, recycling, and compost pickup on Friday will actually remain as scheduled.

City residents are being asked to have trash, recycle, and compost containers out by 6 a.m., as usual. But city drivers will observe Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 12th. That means sanitation services will not be available on Saturday.

Likewise, the Happy Jack Landfill at 1416 Happy Jack Road and the Compost Facility at 3714 Windmill Road will be open on Friday but will be closed on Saturday and not reopen until Tuesday, November 15.

The city transfer station office will close on Friday and reopen on Monday.
