6 Child Porn Charges

Harvey was being sought on a warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court signed by Judge Antoinette Williams for six counts of sexual exploitation of a child - possessing child pornography, each count a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Each count is alleged to have occurred on April 27, 2025.

Initial Court Appearance

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Harvey appeared in Circuit Court in front of Williams on the charges.

Harvey told Williams he planned to hire his own attorney, and Williams set his preliminary hearing for Friday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m.

Due to the nature of the crimes, the state recommended a $100,000 cash bond, but Harvey's parents, who were in the courtroom, told Williams he lived with them and had a cognitive disability.

Competency

"I don't think that affects any competency," the state said.

"I would note that he was convicted of property destruction in 2021 (and) placed on probation," the state added. "So, unless there's something new that's affecting his ability to, you know, competence just to stand trial, I don't think that factors in much with these felony counts."

Out on Bond

"The court's going to set the bond at $50,000 cash or surety, which means you can go through a surety to post the bond, but you're not going to be allowed to have access to the internet or have a phone," Williams told Harvey, whose bond was posted later that day.

Next Steps in the Legal Process

Harvey then waived his preliminary hearing, binding his case over to District Court.

Harvey's arraignment is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9, at 1:30 p.m. in front of Judge Nathaniel S. Hibben.
