Cheyenne Welcomes New Affordable Apartments At Robins Point
A new 48-unit affordable housing apartment complex will hold a grand opening on Tuesday, October 14.
That's according to a news release from the Wyoming Housing Network.
Grand Opening Event Slated For Tuesday
Robin's Point Apartments are located at 3300 Nationway in Cheyenne. A grand opening ceremony is slated for 3 p.m. on October 14. The complex is made up of three two-story buildings and includes a mix of one-two and three bedroom apartments.
“Our goal is to locate housing for individuals and families in areas that have many amenities available within close proximity. In examining options in the Cheyenne area, few locations were a better or smarter fit. We have taken a previously underutilized lot and built a large residential complex on the site. Residents are near services and businesses that meet many basic needs, which cuts down on driving and public transit, while also enhances property values in the area,” said Melissa Noah, executive director of the Wyoming Housing Network.
The apartments are not far from Henderson Elementary School and the Cheyenne Plaza shopping center.
It's worth noting that a shortage of housing, and especially affordable housing, has been an issue in Cheyenne for many years. It's not unusual for residents to rent apartments in Laramie or Fort Collins. Doing so can pose transportation problems during the severe winter storms which commonly rock the area.
The apartments were built by Billings, Montana based CR Builders.
