
U.S. Air Force Academy Band To Perform In Laramie This Weekend
The U.S. Air Force Academy band has scheduled a Fourth of July Celebration Concert for Laramie on Sunday.
That's according to a post on the City of Laramie Facebook page.
The post says the concert will be held at 3 p.m. at the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell. The concert is billed as 'America The Beautiful. A fourth of July Celebration Concert."
In the words of the post "Enjoy a vibrant mix of patriotic favorites alongside music from jazz, pop, classical, country and beloved filmed scores—something for all ages and musical tastes. This concert honors the service and sacrifice of military members past and present, while showcasing the excellence and versatility of your United States Air Force Academy Band."
Event Is Free, But Tickets Are Recommended
While the event is free, ticketholders will get priority on seating. You can get tickets via Eventbright. Attendees without tickets will be seated in any open spots starting 15 minutes before showtime, According to the post.
The post says the The United States Air Force Academy Band is one of only two premier bands in the U.S. Air Force, and the only Department of Defense band based west of the Appalachian Mountains. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, the band supports the U.S. Air Force Academy’s mission to develop leaders of character for service in the Air and Space Forces.
