Dogs are known as "man's best friend." However sometimes man's best friend can get out of hand and can go into attack mode. So which dogs are more prone to this?Data was recently compiled to include decades of reports of dogs that were involved in attacks in America. Here is a list of the "top dogs" that have been involved in attack mode.

  • Pit Bull - They were involved in about 2,235 of which 233 were fatal.
  • Rottweiler - These dogs were involved in 495 attacks of which 81 resulted in death of a human.
  • German Shepherd - There were 96 attacks that caused humans bodily harm of which 14 people died.
  • Bull Mastiff - There were reported 87 attacks of which 14 were fatal.
  • Husky - 71 attacks on humans were reported, of which 24 resulted in death
