33 Wyoming Drug Arrests Reported in ‘Operation Smack’ [Photos]
A total of 33 people been arrested in a Sweetwater County drug operation, according to a release from Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell.
The sheriff says the campaign was proposed by the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office Narcotics and Arrest Group (SNAAG). But several other law enforcement agencies were also part of the effort, including the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Rock Spring Police Department, Green River Police Department, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The sheriff says that while most of the arrests involved methamphetamine, some of the charges were for possession and trafficking of other illegal drugs as well.
The sheriff says the following people were arrested in the drug sweep:
Leonard Bernal, Rock Springs, 55 Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance
Paul May, Rock Springs, 18 Possession of a Controlled Substance
