If you're a fan of buying hummus, to dip your chips in or to put on crackers, beware. The company has now recalled thousands of cases due to the bacterium Listeria.  The official company name is Sabra Dipping Company, and they are recalling thousands of cases of the ever-popular hummus.

They have stated that the products could possibly have Listeria, a serious infection usually cased by eating food that has been contaminated by Listeria Monocytogenes.

Other Sabra Dipping Company products include: Classic Hummus with and without garnish, in 10 - 32 ounce packages.

The way they found this was by a random test in Michigan in late March of 2015, where they found a package contaminated with the bacterium.

The Food and Drug Administration has also issued a warning an recall on the products.
