A bill to require state agencies to report spending and revenues on a state website will be considered by lawmakers during the 2018 legislative session.

Senate File 77, sponsored by Sen. Anthony Bouchard (R-Laramie County), would also include the salaries of state employees, state contracts for supplies and services, and a variety of other information related to state spending and revenues.

The bids and contracts section would not apply to the University of Wyoming and the state's seven community colleges. But employees of those institutions would be included in the report on salaries of state employees.

SF 77 specifically bans the redaction of names or other information except for items that are classified as ''confidential'' or ''privileged" by law.

State agencies would be required to submit quarterly reports detailing the information.

The legislature will be convening a 20-day budget session on Monday, Feb. 12 at the Jonah Business Center in Cheyenne.  Lawmakers are meeting at the business center while a renovation project on the Wyoming State Capitol building continues.

Because it is a budget session, all non-budget items will require a 2/3 majority vote to be introduced.
