Have you been looking for a way to support your local Cheyenne Police Department and the fallen officers who serve your community? You'll have a chance on Saturday, May 10, 2014 when the Cheyenne Police Department kicks off their first 5K walk and run.

The Wyoming Law Enforcement memorial was initiated in 2011 by a combined effort of several Cheyenne-area law enforcement agencies to include security forces at FE Warren AFB. To raise funds for the design and production of a bronze sculpture that will honor all Wyoming Fallen Peace Officers, a charity was born.

The sculpture is scheduled to be created by a local Wyoming artist and is set to be honorably placed on the Wyoming State Capital grounds. Proceeds and fundraising will continue even after the unveiling of the memorial statue to help assist the spouses and families of Wyoming fallen officers (more than 60 Wyoming Peace Officers have been lost in the line of duty, but have never been forgotten).
