Wyoming Jobless Rate Edges Up In November

Wyoming's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased slightly in November compared to the month before, edging up from 2.9 percent statewide to an even three percent.

Locally, both Laramie and Albany counties saw increases in unemployment. Laramie County's November jobless rate was right in line with the state unemployment rate at 3.0 percent. The was up from the October unemployment rate of 2.7 percent, but lower than the October 2022 rate of 3.0 percent.

Albany County's jobless rate in November was 2.7 percent. That was an increase of half a percentage point over the October rate of 2.2 percent, but it was a little lower than the October 2022 jobless rate of 3 percent.

Between November of 2022 and last month, the unemployment rate fell in every Wyoming county except Hot Springs County, where it increased from 2.8 percent to 2.9 percent over that time.

Wyoming's unemployment rate last month was considerably lower than the U.S. national seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 3.7 percent.
