The Wyoming Business Council recently reviewed guidelines for its Trade Show Incentive Program to create more clarity on eligible expenses.

The Trade Show Incentive Grant reimburses companies up to 50 percent of approved expenses to attend a show. These expenses could include event fees, booth fees, transportation and pre-approved event-specific marketing materials. Created in 1998, the program was designed to help Wyoming companies promote their products at industry trade shows important to their business.

According to a news release from the Business Council, recent changes to the program’s rules include: a confirmation process to ensure grant funds will be used; and a guideline that clarifies when companies may use the grant to attend shows in cooperation with the Business Council. Terri Barr, Wyoming Products program manager who also manages the trade show grant said the changes were put in place to help ensure limited grant funds are distributed to as many eligible companies as possible.
