The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will hear reports on a host of key UW initiatives during its regular meeting Sept. 10-12.

The meeting begins with a gathering of the board’s Fiscal and Legal Affairs Committee at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the UW Conference Center/Hilton Garden Inn’s Hilton Boardroom.

According to a release from U.W., the board as a whole begins its regular meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, in Room 506 of Coe Library. All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions.

Public testimony will be accepted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Among the topics about which trustees will be updated are dean searches; strategic planning; plans for a new fiscal reporting system; UW’s Tier-1 Engineering and Science initiatives; the College of Education; the College of Law; community college collaboration; and tuition policy.

The board is scheduled to select a consultant to assess UW’s residence halls; vote on a name for UW’s Education Annex; and consider a Lewis Street infrastructure agreement with the city of Laramie.
