7:07AM MST: Today, we will check in with long-time friend of the program and regular columnist on KGAB.com. Today, one of Jim's his latest columns discusses U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein on Sunday, appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" program, said she is going full-steam-ahead on proposing a ban on assault weapons in the Senate. Also, a similar bill will also be proposed by Democrats in the House of Representatives, said Feinstein, noting the goal of her proposal is to "dry up the supply of these weapons over time." Ironically, on other Sunday morning news shows, Democrats defended President Barack Obama's gift of F-16 fighter jets and Abrams tanks to the Muslim Brotherhood-run Egypt.

Feinstein, a California Democrat, had originally made, what her opponents called, her "gun-grab announcement" in an event at the Capitol during which she said Reps. Carolyn McCarthy of New York and Ed Perlmutter of Colorado -- both Democrats -- are proposing a similar legislation in the House.

"We should be outraged at how easy it is for mass shooters to get hold of semi-automatic weapons or large-capacity magazines used in past shooting rampages, said Feinstein.
