On Friday, 29 brave men and women from the Wyoming Army National Guard G Company of the 2nd Battalion, 211th Aviation, got deployed to the Middle East, according to Wyoming Army National Guard.

Back in September, it was said that around 300 soldiers would be deployed from six Wyoming guard units.  This will take place from January to September 2019.  The unit that was sent was a medical evaluation company.  Before the 29 soldiers make their way to the Middle East, they will stop in Fort Bliss, Texas for more mobilization training.

Since September 11th, 2001, the medevac unit has been deployed six times.  These deployments will last nine months at a time.  This deployment is the largest one since 700 soldiers were deployed more than a decade ago.
