Everybody likes to eat well at Thanksgiving. There are food items that could land your dog in the vets office, if eaten.  Today, you probably will find yourself nibbling on leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. We need to remember that just because Thanksgiving food is good for us, it may not sit well with your pet.

  1. Turkey Bones - These can sliver and stab their gum line as well as the inner lining of their stomachs.
  2. Uncooked Meat & Turkey Skin - This can cause some serious digestion problems, and messes, for you and your dog.
  3. Bread Dough & Cake Batter - This can cause severe cases of diarrhea, vomiting and other GI issues.
  4. Nuts - Although these may be good to the taste buds, they can cause an upset stomach and gastric intestinal distress.
  5. Cranberry Sauce With Raisins and Grapes - These fruits have been found to cause kidney failure in dogs.

There are other items that may not be a good idea to feed your dog, such as: green bean casserole, mashed potatoes or anything containing onions or garlic.
