Fox Sports is reporting the Denver Broncos have traded quarterback Tim Tebow to the New York Jets for a pair of draft choices, including a fourth round pick as well as sixth  round pick.  The Jets would also receive Denver's 7th round pick. The Broncos had been looking to move the former Florida star after signing former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning to a $96 million dollar contract earlier this week.. Manning was released by the Colts earlier this month, spawning a bidding war for for his services among several NFL teams.

Tebow led the Broncos to the AFC west title in 2011 with a series of improbable comeback victories. Denver won a first-round playoff game over the Pittsburgh Steelers before losing to eventual AFC champion New England. Tebow has three seasons left on his five-year $9.8 million rookie contract. He is scheduled to make a base salary of $1.1 million in 2012.
