More than 160 Wyoming National Guard members are preparing for deployment to the country of Bahrain.The guard's 133rd Engineer Company based in Laramie will spend nine months on the deployment. Local Military Firefighters Train for Aircraft Fires
Wyoming Air National Guard and F.E. Warren Air Force Base firefighters demonstrated the new Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer (MAFT) Friday. F.E. Warren Fire Chief John McDougall says the MAFT allows firefighters to train locally on how to safely extinguish an aircraft fires. He says in the past, crews had to travel across the country annually to receive the training.

On June 12, Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery Regiment was deactivated during a ceremony at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center. Charlie Battery was deactivated as the Army and Wyoming Army National Guard restructure toward a modular force so they can deploy smaller units to smaller engagements.
