In the wake of last week's announcement that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper will not pursue the Wyoming Solutions Partnership, CRMC C-E-O Dr. John Lucas says the two hospitals will continue to work together. In the wake of last week's news that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper will not move ahead with a partnership, CRMC C-E-O Dr. John Lucas says cooperative efforts like the Integrated Care Network will still move forward. Partnership Could Be Operational by Late Summer
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Vice President for Marketing Leigh West says a partnership between CRMC and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper could be up and running as soon as the latter part of this summer. The two hospitals this week signed a formal letter of intent to explore the partnership, to be known as 'Wyoming Solutions'. West says the letter of intent is a legal document that formally brings the two sides together in exclusive, good-faith discussions.
VP Says Partnership Proposal Not A Merger
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Vice President for Marketing Leigh West says a proposed partnership between CRMC and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper is not a merger and would not eliminate local control of both hospitals. West says that although the partnership is unusually large for a venture involving two non-profit organizations, local hospital boards in both Cheyenne and Casper would continue to oversee operations of the two facilities, and the county commissions in both Laramie and Natrona counties will still retain final control over hospital operations.
CRMC, Wyoming Medical Center Launch Partnership Planning
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper have started a process to actively explore a partnership to create a Wyoming-based integrated healthcare system, to be known as the Wyoming Solution. The boards of trustees of both facilities voted Tuesday morning to move ahead with the process during a conference call among the two boards.
Carbon County Commissioners Support New Wind Farm [AUDIO]
Carbon County Commissioners wrote a letter of support for a wind farm in southern Wyoming that has some residents worried about their views. Doug Randall reports. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper earlier this year co-founded the integrated care network, a group of 17 medical facilities across the state.
