The Covid-19 crisis has certainly taken its toll on everyone. But despite stark unemployment increases almost everywhere across the country, Wyoming has held strong as one of the least affected states by unemployment during Covid-19.

Since March 14, the state has processed more than 38,000 unemployment claims.

The Senate is trying to fast-track an extension of a popular small business lending program.

Roughly 38.6 million people have now filed for jobless aid.

The number of first-time applications has now declined for six straight weeks.

Almost all the job growth achieved during the 11-year recovery from the Great Recession has now been lost.

That is the equivalent of one in five Americans who had been employed back in February.

The smallest companies, those with fewer than 20 workers, cut nearly 3.4 million jobs.

Roughly 30.3 million people have now filed for jobless aid in the six weeks since the coronavirus outbreak began.

The Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the economy and a severe increase in unemployment. However, a handful of cities, such as Cheyenne, haven't been nearly as affected as some some others.
