Senator Barrasso Responds to President’s State of the Union [AUDIO]

Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) says the President should have announced his support for the Keystone XL pipeline during his State of the Union speech Tuesday night. Senators Enzi & Barrsso Vote Against Continuing Resolution

Wyoming’s two U.S. Senators voted against the continuing resolution (CR) today that would fund the federal government for the next six months. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso oppose the bill, which includes a provision that restores Abandoned Mind Land (AML) Trust Fund funding for all states except Wyoming.

Senators Introduce Bill To Restore AML Money

A bipartisan group of U.S. senators introduced legislation this week that would restore the money owed to coal producing states from the Abandoned Mine Land (AML) Trust Fund. In June, the House and Senate passed a two-year transportation bill which included a provision that raided trust funds used for reclaiming abandoned mine lands.

Sen. Barrasso Blasts Administration at Fracking Rules Hearing [AUDIO]

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the subcommittee for clean air and nuclear safety, blasted the Obama administration's stance on natural gas and coal  during his opening statement at Tuesday's  Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Hearing on Clean Air Act Hydraulic Fracturing rules. A federal judge has ruled against a Northern Arapahoe man's claim that Wyoming prison officials improperly denied him access to a sweat lodge for religious purposes at the state prison in Torrington.
