Northern Colorado Trees to be Sprayed for Beetles

Crews in the Arapaho and Roosevelt national forests will spray more than 7,400 trees against pine beetles and about 250 trees against white pine blister rust.

City Recommends Spraying Now For Pine Beetles

Officials with the City of Cheyenne Department of Urban Forestry say now is the best time to spray for Mountain Pine Beetles as well as Spruce Beetles and other tree-killing bugs.

Randy Overstreet, Assistant Director of Cheyenne Urban Forestry, says the different beetles that attack trees in this area tend to emerge at different times
