You may have heard sayings around the game of basketball like, "there's a cap on the basket," or "they can't throw it in the ocean." It certainly played out like that Wednesday night, as the Wyoming Cowboys struggled and shot just 24 percent from the field in a 49-36 loss at the Fresno State Bulldogs.

Just over two weeks after Luke Martinez fractured a bone in his shooting hand during a bar fight in downtown Laramie, the Wyoming senior guard has been suspended indefinitely. University of Wyoming athletics officials announced Monday that charges have been filed against Martinez over the incident on December 30, 2012.

Senior forward Leonard Washington scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half and grabbed 13 rebounds to guide the 25th-ranked University of Wyoming men’s basketball team to a 59-48 win over Nevada on Saturday afternoon in the Lawlor Events Center.

Being short-handed didn't matter to Boise State, as the Broncos got two huge 3-pointers from Jeff Elorriaga in the final 33 seconds and upset the 25th-ranked Wyoming Cowboys 63-61 Wednesday night in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams.
