‘May Mobilization’ Targets Non Seat-Belt Users
The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff's Department and Cheyenne Police Department held a joint news conference Tuesday morning in Cheyenne to let people know a special state-wide enforcement effort aimed at motorists not wearing seat belts, known as the ''May Mobilization'.

The Cheyenne Police Department, Laramie County Sheriff's Department and the Wyoming Highway Patrol took part in the Cheyenne leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Thursday morning, with a runner bearing the torch through several downtown Cheyenne streets, accompanied by a group of runners and led by vehicles from local law enforcement agencies.
Drug Take Back Day Successful
The Laramie County Sheriffs Department took in a record 320 pounds of unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday April 28th.
Spokesman Gerry Luce says the purpose of national Prescription Drug Take Back Day was to allow citizens to safely dispose of unused or unneeded prescription drugs in an environmentally safe manner
Drug Take Back Day Saturday
The Laramie County Sheriff's Department will be participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, according to spokesman Gerry Luce. He says the event is designed to allow for the disposal of the drugs in an environmentally safe manner. It also keeps the drugs out of the hands of people who may abuse them.
