The spring storm has forced WYDOT to close many area highways.

“We’ll look at the roads and driving behaviors to ensure there is no significant increase in crashes,” says WYDOT Director Bill Panos.

The speed limit will increase to 70 mph on sections of three highways later this month. The Wyoming Department of Transportation says in a press release that the increased speed limits will be posted on much of US 85 east of the I-25 interchange north of Cheyenne to Newcastle, on WYO 130 from I-80 south to Saratoga, and WYO 120 from roughly 18 miles north of Cody to the Montana border...

The Wyoming Department of Transportation cautions motorists to be careful driving during a winter storm expected to wallop Wyoming before and during the Thanksgiving holiday.

U.S. Highway 18/20 has reopened to traffic from Interstate 25 to U.S. Highway 85 in Lusk after being closed after last week's flooding in eastern Wyoming, according to a news release from the Wyoming Department of Transportation. A large culvert damaged by the flooding on the highway just west of Manville was replaced and a temporary surface was laid over the repair, according to the news release.

The State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) contains a listing of work, that WYDOT tentatively expects to let to contract during the current fiscal year.
