See What Wyoming Service Dogs Have In Store For You And Your Dog In Cheyenne
Sit. Heel. Beg. We have probably used these commands on our dogs for ages to get them to obey us. There is more to a command than 'heel' and training is a must. Teaching a dog to 'heel' is different than teaching a dog to walk on a leash. Most people don't know that the 'heel' command should only be used short term like walking by people or awaiting a passing car.
Wyoming Service Dogs is hosting 3 FREE sessions to help make life easier on your dog and you!
The talks are about an hour long and start at 6 p.m. in the Sunflower Room at the Laramie County Library in Cheyenne. Again, these talks are FREE but you should leave your dog at home. The following meetings are for people only.
- Jan 5: "Come Rover Come" is set up to help you grab your dogs attention, especially when distractions like people and traffic are present.
- Jan 12: "Grumpy Growlers" is geared to help you help your dog when they are distracted by other dogs and people.
- Jan 26: "Impulse Control" will give you ideas on how to take your dogs hyperactivity and turn it into something constructive.
