Memorial Day In Cheyenne

Several hundred people turned out for the annual Memorial Day Wreath Laying  Ceremony at Beth El Cemetery in Cheyenne.  The event was sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1881 and American Legion Post 6 sponsor the event.

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen said it was encouraging to see so many people turn out for the event. Michael Archer, founder of the Fleet Reserve Association #59 in Cheyenne, said it is important to remember those who have died serving our country. He added that is also important to teach the next generation about the sacrifices made by military personnel.
