Turning over a new leaf, New Year Resolutions, or whatever you want to call it, brings about new financial fitness and dietary goals, but will you keep them this year? Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some of the top resolutions that people commit to in the new year. Let's hope we will all keep them this year.

  1. Quite Smoking - This is a hard habit to break. Most people who have quit, will tell you cold turkey is the best way to go.
  2. Lose Weight - Most of us are good for the first few weeks or months, but then something happens. Oh yes, it's called - FOOD!
  3. Get Out Of Debt - You may have to live on hotdogs and Ramen noodles for awhile, but you CAN do it.
  4. Save Money - It's hard to save money until you conquer # 3. Plan ahead and make it happen. Also, save for Christmas, vacations and emergencies while you're at it.
  5. Spend More Time With My Family - This can be done, however just like money and calories, you must plan to do this.

Best to you in 2015 as you endeavor to accomplish your New Year's goals. The Top 5 at 7:45 airs weekdays with me, Gary Freeman and is sponsored by First Education Federal Credit Union.
