Liz Cheney Outraises Competitors for House Seat
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Liz Cheney is outraising competitors in her bid for a U.S. House seat, bringing in over $730,000.
Casper Republican Representative Tim Stubson has raised the second-highest amount at over $125,000. Stubson loaned half of that to his campaign.
Cheney has donations from her parents, the George W. Bushes, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove and others. She contributed almost $27,000 of her own money.
Republican Representative Cynthia Lummis is vacating her seat in the U.S. House and a dozen people are vying for her spot, including 10 Republicans, Democrat Ryan Greene and Independent candidate John Meena.
The primary is set for August 16 with a general election on November 8.
