The National Weather Service in Cheyenne is warning southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle residents to prepare for potentially severe weather on Thursday.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to make their way through the area late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening.

Forecasters say quarter to lime size hail and 60 mph winds will be the main threat, but an isolated tornado or two is not out of the question.

Folks are encouraged to plan accordingly and keep a close eye on the forecast.
