Laramie County Issues Statement On Phone Outage
Laramie County officials have issued a statement on a cell phone outage that is affecting thousands of people across the country.
The following statement was posted on the Laramie County government's Facebook page:
''We are aware of a nationwide wireless outage that is affecting major cell phone carriers, which is impacting wireless customers from making or receiving phone calls (including to 911). The Laramie County Combined Communication Center is still operational, and our IT department is in the center working on the issue.
If you are unable to call 911, please try from a landline. If that is not an option, please try to contact a friend or family member to call on your behalf.
Do not call or text 911 to simply test your phone service.''
Outages Are Being Reported Across The Country
The Associated Press and other media sources are reporting widespread outages this morning involving several major wireless phone service providers.
