SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — A district judge on Wednesday ordered that a man who had been serving a life sentence for his role in a 2009 home invasion killing in Sheridan will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years.

Judge John Fenn resentenced 20-year-old Wyatt Bear Cloud.

Bear Cloud was among three Sheridan teenagers sentenced to life in prison for the 2009 killing of Sheridan businessman Robert Ernst.

The Wyoming Supreme Court had ordered Fenn to resentence Bear Cloud in response to a federal court ruling.

Prosecutor Matt Redle says Bear Cloud could be out of prison in about 35 years. Bear Cloud still has roughly 10 years to go on a burglary conviction before he will start serving the murder sentence.

Defense lawyer Kirk Morgan wanted all Bear Cloud's sentences run together.
