Summer vacation has come and almost gone. Is your child ready for school? This is the time of year when we hope that we have all the school supplies our kiddo's need before they step foot into the classroom. Typically, you can get a list of school supplies that the school district wants your child to have before they enter the classroom.

Today on the Top 5 at 7:45, I'll highlight some very important items that your kiddo should take with them on the first day back to school.

  1. An Apple - Isn't this something that all teachers like to get? Might as well start off on the right foot.
  2. A Backpack - After all you need something to put all of that work in, right?
  3. Pencils - A must have for writing letters and numbers.
  4. Crayons - For the art time projects, they'll need their own and hope they don't break after the first day.
  5. Home Address Verification - They want to make sure you are in the right place. You probably do too. Take a piece of mail with your address on it.
