State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill says she is still running for Governor in 2014.

Hill originally announced her gubernatorial run on KGAB radio in early 2013, but there have been widespread rumors in recent weeks that she had changed her mind and would instead run for another term as superintendent.

But she reiterated on Friday that she is "absolutely" still a candidate for governor, adding she has never said otherwise. She said the rumors to the contrary were "coming out of certain campaigns" with the intention of undermining her candidacy.

So far two other candidates, incumbent Matt Mead and Cheyenne physician Taylor Haynes, who like Hill are both Republicans, have formally jumped into the 2014 Wyoming gubernatorial race.
