The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for parts of southeast Wyoming, including Cheyenne, for Saturday, January 20.

The weather service issued this statement on their website:

"January 19th Morning Update - High Wind Warnings remain in effect for the wind prone areas along Interstate 25 and Interstate 80. Sustained winds between 30 to 45 MPH and gusts up to 65 MPH are possible through the day. Extended the warning for the Bordeaux area, along Interstate 25, since winds are forecast to remain high into Sunday. Some blowing snow is expected in these locations due to the strong winds, which will result in partially snow-covered and icy roads."
