Governor Matt Mead joined officials from Green House Data to cut the ribbon on their new 35,000 square foot data center in Cheyenne on Wednesday.

Green House Data C-E-O Shawn Mills said the new facility increases the companies footprint in Cheyenne by 250 percent.

We are super excited about it and excited about the customers that are moving in. We are excited abou the broadband capacity that is here and the tech industry and data center industry in Cheyenne is just starting.... This building represents the opportunity for companies from around the world to store their data here.

Governor Matt Mead announced that the State of Wyoming will be the new facility's first customer.

As we looked to transition out of the Herschler Building for the remodel, we were able to to take everything we had there and put in in here.  As Flint waters stated, for us to build a state of the art building like this, because of the way government works, we couldn't do it. This is their business and this is all they do.

Green House Data is a leader in I-T infrastructure services including Cloud Hosting and Colocation. The company is an EPA Top 100 Green Power purchaser.
