Governor Matt Mead declared this week Wyoming Correctional Professionals week in Wyoming.

Governor Mead said if we are going to have a strong justice system in Wyoming, we need to have a strong corrections system. The governor said the hard work is appreciated by him and by the people in Wyoming.

Wyoming's observance is in conjunction with National Correctional Officers' Week, which is celebrated in the first full week of May each year, to honor the work and dedication of correctional officers and correctional personnel nationwide.
