South Riverton Game Warden Brad Gibb is seeking information about an adult buck mule deer illegally shot in the town of Jeffrey City. This crime occurred on Wednesday, October 22.

Gibb says that according to an account

“The eyewitness heard a rifle shot at approximately 6:45 pm and then witnessed a four point buck fall to the ground. The buck was inside an enclosed six foot chain link fence. A gold Ford Super Duty truck then drove into the enclosed area and up to the buck. A man exited the vehicle looked around, left the deer, and drove out of the area.”

No further leads have been obtained.

Gibb is urging anyone who may have observed this crime, have second hand information, or have knowledge of a person with such a vehicle hunting deer in Jeffrey City area that day, to please report it to the Stop Poaching Hotline at (877) WGFD-TIP or on the Game and Fish website at http://wgfd.wyo.gov at any hour or call the Lander regional office 307-332-2688. He adds callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if the information leads to a conviction.
