The Laramie County Community College Dental Hygiene Program will offer free dental care for kids up to 17 years old on July 12, according to a news release.

Appointments for the dental care are being scheduled now, according to the release. The event will run from 3-6:30 p.m. and will include cleaning, x-rays, fluoride treatment and dental exams.

Parents are being told to expect 1-2 hour appointments, and no insurance is needed.

According to the release, dental care for kids is especially important to prevent dental issues later in life and establish life-long good dental practices.

Appointments can be made by calling 307 778-1141. While space is limited for the July 12 event, those who are not able to make an appointment that day will most likely be able to schedule an appointment for free dental care this fall.
